Welcome to the Guild of Agricultural Journalists of Ireland website. I have to say that 2011 has been a fantastic year for the Guild. We celebrated our 50th anniversary this year. And I get the sense that there is renewed enthusiasm about our Guild as we look towards the next 50 years.

IFAJ stalwart appointed chairman of the new European Journalists Association

This month in Brussels Jef Verhaeren was appointed chairman of the new European Network of Agricultural Journalists (ENAJ). The new organisation is supported by the EU and will hold an number of CPD events next year to promote awarness of the Commission in different member states. Irish Guild chairman, Damien O Reilly has been appointed the new secretary of the organisation.
